On Wednesday 8th December 2021 the Warwick Court Leet held its annual Carol Service and Supper at the historic Lord Leycester Hospital.
On a chilly evening the Officers and Jurors of the Court and guests assembled in the Chapel of St James the Great, it was great to see such a great attendance.
The service was conducted by Father Patrick Mileham from St Mary Immaculate.
Readings were given by Cllr Richard Edgington, Mayor of Warwick and Lord of the Leet, Bailiff Mark Robertson, Low Bailiff Alan Lettis, and Steward Jayne Topham.
Throughout the service, the choir, Omnium Gatherum provided some fabulous renditions of popular carols and lead the congregation in others. A standout version of the Carol of the Bells was the highlight of the evening.
After the Carol Service a collection was taken, raising £250.00 which was donated to the Lord Leycester Hospital.
The supper was held in the wonderfully decorated Great Hall. Piper Andy Walker accompanied the supper attendees into the hall with some rousing and atmospheric bagpipe music.
A delicious three-course meal was served and the evening concluded with a raffle.
